Have you ever thought how much better the world would be if people only spoke the truth? How many broken hearts, ruined friendships, and betrayed people would be spared if only truth was spoken? When I was a little girl, I was so scared to lie (mostly because my mom and dad could always see right through me). Now, however, I don't want to lie, because I know my Father knows when I do. Lies only cause pain. Does anyone want to know the truth? Or, are they content believing misleading gossip? Maybe gossip is more interesting than the boring truth. I am so annoyed with people who let slander and lies leave their lips and cause deep wounds in others. I am so sick of hearing people outright lie. I praise God for the conviction He has placed on my heart to tell the truth. I pray that the same conviction would be placed in the hearts of so many others.
For the glory of God, put a guard on your mouth. If it's not truth, don't say it. If it's not fact, don't assume it.

Yeah!! Fact being a fact, not an opinion stated with authority or someone's spin on the fact. Fact being first hand knowledge of an event. Fact being incontravertible evidence. Fact NOT being someone said so and so and blah blah blah.
What if we DID all seek to please God,not with our posturing and public persona, but just simply to tell and walk in the truth. Lord that you would give us all the strength to do your will in our lives. ANd thanks for friends who call us to be more than "good enough christians"...to just be MORE...like Christ...more loving...more.
