what have i been doing!?

long time, no post.

last week i had jury duty. it got me downtown joliet. i'd really like to explore it more sometime with my loved ones...it's really not much fun by myself. i would love to walk around downtown and find a cute restaurant...fun fountain...or some cool coffehouse. i was never called to serve on a jury, but i sure spent a lot of time at the courthouse, waiting...and waiting.......and waiting.

jaxon had a birthday. we invited a few of his school friends over for a baseball party. i made cream filled cupcakes...yummy!

jason and I celebrated our 12th anniversary! WOW! i'm looking forward to another hundred years with him. we celebrated by going to the riverwalk. BEAUTIFUL! i had an almond joy ice cream cone. DELICIOUS!

we are spending the time we do have together working on our backyard project. we are making good progress, however, when i look at how much more work there is, i get overwhelmed. i guess that's why i only look as far as the headlights shine. (good sermon on that!) one step at a time.

i'm reading the Samuel's right now. WOW! i love reading books of the Bible thoroughly in order. sometimes, when i'm reading just chapters, i miss the really crazy stuff. like Saul having a witch call Samuel up from the dead. (1 Samuel 28:11) i love how Samuel responds..."why have you disturbed me?"
