The kids are off to school. :(
Where did the summer go? I don't like starting a new school year, because I really miss my kids and I feel like they grow up so quickly between August and May. However, I was encouraged by some very wise women today about my feelings of apprehension. Although I'm not ready for it to be over, I did enjoy this summer. We did lots of fun things. Jason and I decided that, even though we weren't going on vacation, we would still collect experiences. (My new life philosophy, thanks to Mark Batterson!) One of those experiences was touching a stingray at Brookfield Zoo. After we convinced the kids that they wouldn't die like the croc hunter if they touched one, they loved feeling the underwater creatures. I thought it was pretty cool, too!

Summer ending is the saddest thing ever. Even though I try not to think about it, my mind goes to "We didn't swim enough, we didn't play outside enough, we didn't..." But, I will focus on what we did do!
And, the date on your picture made me laugh once again :)
I've gotta figure out how to change it!
