I loathe stagnancy, but in so many areas of my life, I see it. God says that once we pray a prayer, He sends an answer. Either He's telling me to wait on 99% of my requests, or the answers just haven't reached me yet.

I trust you, God.
You know my desires, you know my dreams.
If they don't align with what You have for me, change my heart and my outlook.

I heard in a sermon a few weeks ago, that it seems like God answers prayers of new Christians quickly and those that are more mature in Christ he tends to have them wait on their answers. The explanation was that God is so desperate to show Himself to new believers, and He expects more from us as mature Christians. To learn to wait on Him is not easy, but He's helping us learn and grow by trusting Him and His timing. Don't you wish we could always see the big picture like Christ does?
thanks, Angel.
I feel you, Dana! The thing I keep holding on to is that God has my best interest at heart. I don't know what that means entirely or how it all fits together, but faith like a child, right?
