our sunday

Today was a crazy day.

Early service for us. Great service. Awesome message. Is this a common message from God to His people right now, or what? This message affirmed everything God has been revealing to me for the past month or so. I love the people of Ninevah.

Got in the van (that was loaded with our push mower, vacuum cleaner, broom, and cleaning caddy...oh, and lunch), got on the interstate, spent the next hour and a half in the van with the windows down (it was a beautiful day outside!).

We finally arrived at our second home, on the chain of lakes. Believe me, this second home is not by choice, well, by God's choice right now, I guess. Ky got the vacuum going inside...just to pick up the few dust mites and spiders that might have found their way in, I jumped on the riding lawn mower...I feel sooo cool mowing behind that thing, all except for the major slant of our hilly yard that makes me feel like I'm just going to roll down with the mower on top of me, and Jason got the push mower cranking as Ken and Jax played on the swingset. Once I finished mowing, I went inside to do a little touching up and spraying of room spray. We were done and ready to leave in a little over an hour (record time!), which put us ahead of schedule.

We decided to stop at DQ for a quick treat since we all worked so hard and fast. And, after heading back to the house to drop off the keys to the shed and the mower (which we forgot to leave on the counter) we were off again, not ahead of schedule, but right ON schedule this time.

We made it home in time for us to unload and clean out the van and for Jason to freshen up for a local football radio show. (Sounds funny, doesn't it? That he has to freshen up for a radio show...like anyone would really notice!?)

It made for a crazy day, and taking care of our other house may make for some other crazy days, but we'll take them one day at a time, and enjoy some much needed family time.

What's next? Labeling of school supplies, packing of backpacks, choosing first day outfits, and early bedtime!
