The other night, when I posted that I had caved and finally turned the heat on,...well, I really didn't turn the heat on. I mean, I did flip the switch on the thermostat to "heat" and set the temperature, however, the furnace never kicked on. So, there you have it. I haven't yet turned the heat on! (Aren't you proud of me, Rhoda?)
The bad news is that I can't turn the heat on even if I wanted to because our furnace isn't working for some reason. (I didn't think it was supposed to NOT work...it's only 2 years old and, IT'S A TRANE!!!) So, thanks to my f-i-l, Jim, for coming over to check it out. We didn't figure out why it's not working, but we'll survive. (I think the kids are fine - they're running around in shorts!!)
