the chair

So, here is my latest project. . .

I got this chair from my neighbor.

Actually, from her garbage.

But, they are very clean neighbors, and it was only sitting on the curb for a few minutes.

In dry, beautiful weather.

And, since it was mauve and didn't match my walls, I slipcovered it.

(And, yes, that is a bit of green wall back there. I'm trying out new wall colors.)

Well, the wings didn't quite match me either. So, I took the chair apart.

I pounded off the arms and the wings.

All by myself.

And, added more wood and padding.

Repainted the legs.

And, covered it.

I'm excited for my new chair.
