this is for my friends

So, I waited my 3 days. Okay, so 3 days times 6, actually.

And, it wasn't getting any better.

If it were my toe, I would wait it out longer, until it felt better or fell off. I really don't need my toe as much as I need my thumb. Well, actually, I know I need my toes, I just don't use them to fold clothes, drink, brush Kenn's hair, curl mine, turn pages, and put my purse on my shoulder. I use my thumb for all of that.

I made a doctor's appointment today to get my thumb checked out. To be honest, I felt super weird going to the doctor because my thumb hurt. But, I went, because I was sick of my thumb hurting whenever I did something.

Diagnosis: Tendonitis. Treatment: Naproxen, Ice, and a Thumb Spica - which I feel extremely weird wearing until I'm at home doing everything I need to do to keep the house running smoothly. Then, I totally appreciate the extra support and stabilizer.

To be honest, I was hoping more for a broken bone or something cooler sounding. Tendonitis seems kind of wimpy, but I'm glad I know what to do about it now. So, hopefully, in a couple of weeks, it'll feel much better and be back to normal. :)

Thanks, friends, for encouraging me to take care of it.

Yes, yes. Dr. Pulluru is awesome - thanks for recommending her! Oh, and that's not my hand in the picture. :)

I expect to see that Spica at church tomorrow!! You should let your girls glue rhinestones on it to hip it up!

But seriously, I'm so glad to hear you made it to the doctor & are starting to heal!!
