I had the honor and privilege of redecorating my niece's bedroom. I love, love, love decorating kids' rooms. Seriously. So, I was really excited when my s-i-l asked me to do Brooklyn's room. First, some close-ups of my favorite things.

The zebra lantern was the one thing Brooka asked for me to include in her new room. I had to be a little creative, since I couldn't find a zebra paper lantern. I sewed a cover for it. And, check out the tied-dyed duvet cover. Funky. Oh, I almost forgot about the vinyl rain gutter shelf. Yep. Found that idea on a blog and it really turned out cool - so far.

She wanted a rock-n-roll bedroom, so I had to include something "rockey." (I would've spelled it rocky, but then I think of a mountain, so I made up my own spelling.)

Then, there's this cool lampshade. Yep, a $5 plain floor lamp that I painted and added some fluff.

I love how her stool turned out. The plain oak wood would just not have gone as well with the room, so I painted it black and added a silver star.

Now, here are the before's and after's of the room. Let me just say that my s-i-l did not decorate Brooka's room at all, because we had planned to decorate it. So, please don't think this reflects her decorating ability, or inability! The rest of her house looks super cool!

So, there you have it. So much fun!

Way to go Dana - your niece is blessed to have such a "rockey" aunt! ;)
