Bless his heart

Today was Bears' day at Jax and Kenn's school.

Jax wore a Packer's jersey.

Yep, my little sweet spirited kid wore the jersey of the team the Bears need to beat on Sunday to make it to the Superbowl. I knew he had a reason other than to just make someone mad, because Jax just isn't like that, so I asked him why he wasn't wearing his Bears' jersey (which he so joyfully handed down to Kennedy so she would have something to wear on Bears' day.) This is what he said:

"Because they put Devin Hester as receiver, and I think he was better at kick returner."

"I don't like their quarterback. I don't think he's very sportsmanlike, because every time the refs call a penalty, he goes over to them and says, 'Are you blind?!?' "

Instead, Jax wants to see the Jets play the Packers in the Superbowl. And here's why:

"The Jets have a really good offense. LaDainian Tomlinson (who is really fast) and Mark Sanchez (who went to USC) play for the Jets."

Then, he continued to tell me who else played for the Packers, and I think it was a player from Mizzou who made an outstanding reception or interception during their bowl game a couple of years ago. Or, maybe it was even last year.

My point is, the kid has his reasons. And, who am I to tell him to root for the Bears. He knows way more than I do. Besides, I'm not really a Bears fan either.
