h.e.c. day 9

Ok, I'm going to brag on my guy for a bit. I'm sure he wouldn't be comfortable with all this attention, but I'm doing it anyway.

Jason is a good guy. He's one of those guys who will help someone out when help is needed. He isn't just nice to our neighbor, but I'm using 2 examples that include her for this post.

In the fall, our neighbor had wood delivered to her home. It was dumped in her driveway, in front of her garage. It sat there for a couple of days, and we realized that she just didn't have the time to move it and pile it up. So, Jason enlisted Jaxon's help and stacked all of the wood on the side of her house (where it was supposed to be). I watched from inside. I'm sort of like that - I like to watch from the window. :)

What a cool sight to see. First of all, I loved that Jason did that for our neighbor, without being asked. Secondly, I loved that Jaxon saw his dad do this. I loved that Jason showed Jax what being a man looks like.

Then, the other day, (on his day off) our neighbor called me and told me that her sump pump was going crazy. The only thing we know about sump pumps is that is really, really stinks when they don't work. Ours failed us as we were finishing our basement. Not. Fun.

Anyway, after I shared her situation with Jason, he volunteered to go over, check it out and even said he would replace it if it needed to be replaced.

Sigh.

My hero.

Ok, so he was probably our neighbor's hero at the time, but I was so impressed with his chivalry.

Thanks, Jason, for being generous and helping others.

(You know who else is like this?? Yep, my f-i-l.)
