Well, I have finally finished it.

Yep. That extra coat of white paint helped fix my problem.
And, I did remember to take a picture of it before I painted the white coat, so I knew where to sand. Thanks for the tip!

btw...the puppy chow was a perfect road trip yummy. It was an especially good way to kick off an 8 hour drive after getting up at 4:30am.
Oh, and the CD was awesome - I totally loved song #1!
Coffee table looks awesome! And now I see that the couch is still there:)
