I found this coffee table on garbage day a few weeks ago.
Yep, sitting by the side of the road with someone's trash.
I know that when I leave a big piece of something out in the trash,
I hope someone will get it before the garbage truck does.
There have been times when I'll leave something out, and if no one picks it up before I hear the garbage truck coming, I'll go outside, grab it, and wait until next garbage day and set it outside a little sooner to give someone else a chance to grab it.
Weird, I know.
I so couldn't pass by this wonderful find.
I love garbage day!
Honestly, it didn't look that bad, but it did need to be touched up.
However, since I have plenty of dark furniture in my family room,
I wanted to lighten this piece up a bit.
Besides, it would've been way too easy to just wipe it down
and put it in the family room, right?
So, this is what it looks like today:
Well, this is what one shelf looks like today.
It's actually all taken apart, sitting in the garage.
The rest of it is finished, or at least I think it's finished.
I'm just waiting on this shelf. I kind of messed it up, so I had to start it over.
Hopefully, I'll have after pictures before the end of the week!
