Bemidji, Paul Bunyan, and Babe

Here is the story of our trip to Bemidji, MN. I will tell it backwards.
On the way home, we stopped at a wooden fish and posed for a picture.
You kind of find those random things in Minnesota.

Here is our goodbye picture with Jon.
We left him in good hands, though. He's gonna do great.
He had been up late the night before on the lake, swimming with his new friends.
Ok, so he wasn't swimming - he was nervously sitting on a boat in the middle of Lake Bemidji watching his new friends swim.
Here we are at the coolest local restaurant celebrating my birthday.
The Blue Ox.
Yep, it's a definite must dine at place.
Great building - it was super old.
Like, good old. Beautiful woodwork.

While Jon was at his first team practice, we spent some time seeing the sights.
And, posing with Paul Bunyan and Babe.
I remember these guys from when I was a child.
I felt like we stopped here every year for a picture, but I know it wasn't every year.
Perspective from a child is so different than reality sometimes.

Bemidji is absolutely beautiful!
