I've finally done something I've wanted to do since we "designed" our home 6 years ago.
I've started painting the trim white.
Yes, white.
I'm not finished yet, but I'm trying to stay on task with this project, so it doesn't take me another 6 years to complete.
I've also finally painted the interior side of our front door, and I love how it turned out.

Ever since I was introduced to Restoration Hardware a couple of years ago, I've had my mind set on a long, rustic farmhouse table. However, I know wood for the table isn't quite in our budget yet, so when one of our old kitchen table's legs got loose because of a stripped screw, I realized I would probably need to do something about it sooner than later.
At the same time, thankfully, my mom was thinking about getting rid of her old table.
So, I found a table on pinterest I wanted to imitate, sanded the old table like crazy, and got to work with my paintbrushes.

This table works well for us, because it's actually a foot longer than our old table. Although I'm a sucker for a chunky white table, I love the character of our new table. I realize it may not be something I'll love for years and years, but I'm really enjoying it now!
