fast forward

Sometimes, in the midst of difficult times, I long to fast forward life to see how things turn out.

Now is one of those times.

Things are messed up.

Jason says that the best part is seeing how God works things out, so I need to stay awake and watch.

God is the only One that can work it out now.

yea. i wish this for so many parts of life. things going on right now, and even in my own personal life (such as..does God really plan for me to be a doctor...and how good will i look in that white coat ;) )

patience is so hard, but God always desires us to have that with Him. He's always patient with us!

Wow Dana!- Things are pretty stinky right now! I am so sorry that you are feeling so upset. Please know that I am praying for you. We all know that everything will be worked out exactly how God wants it to be. Like you said, the hard part is being patient! Like ro.duh. said before me... He's always patient with us! The easy part will be seeing how God is going to use your situation to help you (or whoever else is going through your situation) get closer to him and trust him more! God truly is amazing, I can't wait to see how he uses your situation to change lives! Satan has no chance against prayer warriors! Stay on your knees, I will too!

By the way, I hope you are feeling better! Did you get any medicine?

I hope you have a good day! Love ya, Jen

I feel you in this, Dana. I wish we could fast forward too. But, then I think about gold being refined in the fire...

I've been reading in I Peter and when I read your blog I thought of these verses...

1 Peter 1:6-7 (The Message)

I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.

I just love the last lines, "...it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory." All of these hardships are a refining fire. At the end of it all, it's your faith that God will see as evidence of His victory. What an awesome thought! For me, it makes all the details fade away. It reminds me that the only thing that matters is my faithfulness and my faith in God.

So, be encouraged. You have an amazing heart. You are so transparent in your love for God. Your faith inspires me.

We are being refined. God is working. At the end of it all, may God find our faith pure and genuine.
