Well, we spent this past weekend fixing up our house...you know, the one we've been trying to sell. We decided, I think on Tuesday, to put up some new siding, pretty much out of desperation. It's crazy how fast things went. Jason got on the phone right away, trying to recruit some people to help us. It's amazing how everything came together. We were able to get lots of help. Thanks to Mark and Jenni, who were willing to travel the distance and help out all day doing all sorts of things (Jenni, without you, we wouldn't have eaten so well!). Thank you Mark for making the looong trip and finishing those ends of the house. Thanks, Sarah, for giving up your husband Friday night and all day Saturday (I know it's not easy to have an entire day without the help and company of your husband.) Thanks Greg...you were awesome. You helped us out so much with your experience and expertise. Thanks Jim and Sue...you guys stuck it out for 2 days and helped us out tremendously. Thanks Mom and Dave...you did those not-so-fun jobs, like painting by the wasps and making the Menards runs and some huge behind-the-scenes stuff. All of you are amazing...we seriously couldn't have done it without you. (Right about now, I feel like I've just won an Emmy!)
While I was busy painting and Jason was busy siding, we handed the camera to Jax to get some pictures of all our help and hard work...

Unfortunately, we don't have any "after" pictures. (Our camera ran out of batteries after Jaxon's photo shoot.) I would have to say, it wasn't a very pretty house on the outside, so we are hoping that the new look will help get some people to look inside the house. It's a great house...just a little too far for Jason to commute everyday!
Jason and I stuck it out until the inside of the house was cleaned from top to bottom. I was sooo ready to come home, but so relieved at completing this task. So, bring on the buyers...we are ready!

I'm so excited you got the help that you needed. I'm sure it feels soooo good to have been surrounded by your friends and family. You are blessed for sure! :)
I am waiting to read the post about the house being sold. It's coming and I can't wait!!!!
Wow!! You guys accomplished a lot in a short time!! What a blessing to have such good help too!! I know it'll help sell your house too!!! Looks great!
It is always so amazing how God will give me life experiences to help share His Word to His people. Last Sunday the message was on Matt 14 - feeding the thousands with 5 loaves & 2 fish -- Jesus' miraculous multiplication. It would have been easy to "excuse" myself on Saturday -- because I had to get ready for Sunday services -- but I was part of it so I could see God's mighty multiplication at work -- we offer our nothing, He makes great & mighty things happen! Totally Amazing!!! Thanks for the "living life" sermon illustration opportunity!
