oh man...

Well, we lost. again.

We were soaked. the rain never stopped. the boys were muddy.

But, that's not the worst part about it.

I think the worst part about it was "mad fan."

I am so no stranger to people in the stands yelling at my husband's coaching style or his play-calling. I think it comes with the job. When you are a leader of anything, some people feel that it is their right to criticize you. Some people do it secretly, at home, with only their impressionable children listening. Others do it in the stands of a game with everyone, including the coach's impressionable children listening.

I've often thought, "how would they feel if I singled out their son and pointed out every mistake or decision he made?" Then I stop myself and realize that I'm not like that. I'm bigger than that.

Nonetheless, it hurts when someone accuses my husband of not wanting to win. Are you kidding? He wants to win just as badly as any of those players. He has invested more time into this program than anyone realizes. So, mad fan, please don't be so ignorant at the next game.
