I love summer.
I love having my kids home.
I love seeing my husband more.
I love sitting by the pool, or in it, and watching the kids have a blast jumping in.
But, I would be lying, if I didn't admit that there are times I don't like it.
They are the times when, for the sixth day in a row, my husband is leaving again for a football thing. Not a surprise to me during football season - I expect it. It's during the summer, when he is on "vacation" that I expect him home.
They are the times that we are all going in different directions or just racing from one thing to another.
It's when my family isn't together that I long for January. That's about the only slow month we have.
It is July, however, and I am enjoying it. And, I know that we will all be together soon, without distractions, without the cell phones and the computers - with time to breathe.
That is my light at the end of the tunnel.
