This:
is the picture in my head as I think about the football season. Ready or not, it's here. Usually, I'm not ready for it, go figure. But, it still comes and, before I know it, it's over. Usually, before I'm ready for it to end, go figure.
Each year, I challenge myself to be more patient, more involved, more understanding and supportive. Each year, I try to learn at least one new thing to change so the next year will be smoother, less challenging. It's hard to believe that this is our 12th year of coaching. It wasn't ever easy to get through the season, but it's getting better. I'm sure it's because we pray about it more, realizing that it's just as much a spiritual battle as physical, maybe even more. And, maybe it's because we have learned some things each season that we can apply to the next.
I do know that my husband loves his job, and I love that. So, here starts another season. I hope it's a great one!
