I just wanted a nice picture of the four of them.

It was a quiet December school night.

We had finished supper, and Jason and I were sitting at the table relaxing

as the kids cleaned up and loaded the dishwasher.

(It's only fair that they clean up and give me a break from the long hours I spend in the kitchen preparing breakfast for supper.)

I hope you know I'm kidding.

As they finished cleaning, I realized that we were all in the kitchen at the same time.

Rare.

Then, I realized how long it had been since I had actually taken a picture of our family members, particularly Jason and the kids.

So, after clean-up was done and they sluggishly walked behind Jason to go to their separate hang-out destinations, I asked them to pose for a picture with their dad.

This is what I said, "Hey guys, stand by dad so I can get a picture of you with him."
