Wow! So much time has passed since my last post. So much life, too!

My Christmas decorations are all down, and as of 4:30 pm today, they are all put away. Now, I have lots of blankness staring at me. Every time I put my "normal" decorations back out, I try to mix it up a bit. I don't really like repeating decorations, therefore, I don't take pictures or mental notes of where I put a certain item.

My mom is not like that. If she were in charge of her Christmas decorating, she would snap photos of her decorated home, so she could remember where the decorations go in years to come. But, . . . she put me in charge of her decorating, so I challenge her by mixing things up a bit. Okay - quite a bit. But, she still lets me help her decorate her home for Christmas year in and year out, so I'm guessing she doesn't mind.

Back to the emptiness. . .

It usually takes me a few days to put my house back together after I undecorate it after Christmas, because I want to scour the web for cool candle arrangements or the newest trend in above cabinet decorating. So, that's where I am right now- online to look at other peoples' ideas, hoping to gain creativity. Open to new, fun ideas that will make me smile every time I look at it. I love when I "get" a corner or a wall or an empty space "done" that I can't help but to stop and look at it every time I pass by. And, that's my goal. I only have a few hours, so I hope the ideas come fast - no pressure or anything.
